World Nature Conservation Day: Protecting our Planet

Taking place every year on July 28^th, World Nature Conservation Day aims to bring awareness to the importance of preserving the environment, which is particularly important for future generations. A healthy environment is needed for a healthy society. Conservation aims to preserve our healthy environment and protect our planet for generations to come.

Why is Conservation so Important?

The Earth’s natural resources, including air, fuel, and water, are increasingly being used up and there is a widespread concern that they’ll be completely depleted.

Unsustainable ways of living for many years have led to increased pollution, deforestation, loss of wildlife habitats, and much more. There is a fear that many more animals and plants are going to become extinct as the years go by.

A UN report states that “around 1 million animal and plant species are now threatened with extinction, many within decades, more than ever before in human history”.

To save more plants and animals from the threat of extinction and to reverse the negative impacts of pollution and so on, the planet must be put first. World Nature Conservation Day aims to help spread awareness of the need for everyone to act.
